Just another blog about my views on stuff and things (mostly stuff, things aren't as cool) and what ever else is going on in my life.

What Really Grinds My Gears...

Are people who seem to find it so hard to give you a simple wave or some form of acknowledgement if you give way to them while driving! It’s not too much to ask to ask for a person to raise at least their fingers like 6 inches from the steering wheel is it? It’s easy, it’s quick, it’s simple yet these days less and less people seem to be doing it.

Nothing pisses me off more than heading down a busy street with parked cars on both sides of the road and you do the right thing by pulling off to the side and letting the oncoming traffic through. I remember growing up watching my mum driving she would always signal thankyou and to the best of my recollection most people would usually do the same for her.

These days however it seems to be a completely different story. People who give “the wave” so to speak are few and far between, I find myself quite often getting snubbed by asshole drivers. It really frustrates me (and I’m sure I’m not the only one) when people don’t acknowledge your doing them a favour, regardless of how the favour may be.

You know what you should do, honk your horn at them like a wild man, chase the rude fuckers down and ram their precious car into a pole.

That'll teach 'em!

I consider the wave to be the cornerstone of driver etiquette. I don't get snubbed often though - do people not like waving to your BMW?

I say if they don't give you the wave, you give them the bird!

So yeah, what I was originally going to say was I agree wholeheartedly Brodie, it doesnt take much at all, it is easy, its certainly quick...and yes, less people seem to be doing it! Unfortunately Brodie this is just the society that we live in. The western world is very much an individualistic society and most people are just out to serve themselves. It is becoming this way more and more so. I don't think it has anything to do with the fact that you drive a BMW, it happens to everyone, though its possible u get it a bit more as I do know some people who are inclined to fuck off people who drive expensive cars. Those bitter biznatches! Its like I always say, driving is great, its the other people on the road that are the problem!
